Job Summary

Critical Care Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse monitors, assesses, and manages complex patient conditions requiring advanced interventions and continuous monitoring. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

•    Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and life-support therapy.

•    Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor vital signs and clinical status.

•    Administer medications, infusions, and therapies as per physician orders and hospital protocols.

•    Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators.

•    Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes.

•    Participate in emergency resuscitation and code blue situations as part of the critical response team.

•    Ensure infection control, patient safety, and adherence to ICU policies and standards.

•    Educate and support patients’ families, providing updates and guidance as appropriate.

•    Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare professionals in developing and implementing patient care plans.

•    Participate in continuous professional development, nursing audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
 

Requirements

•    Must have a Degree in Nursing.

•    Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ICU / Critical Care

 

Certifications:
•    BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
•    ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Preferred
