Job Summary
The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the hospital. Will also be in charge and working closely with doctors, specialists and nurses at both IP and OP to ensure a seamless clinical operation team. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for providing a daily summary report of the state of the clinical parameters of hospital to the DMS.
Job Details
- Managing clinic operations to ensure long-term success and patients get optimal treatment modalities through solving patient problems in a way that complements the vision, mission and values of C-Care.
- Organizing clinical records, patient health records, and other essential documents and resources for ease of referencing for all health workers when they seek clarification.
- Auditing clinical and/or directly related hospital records to ascertain adherence to all processes, policies, procedures and standards as per current MoH and WHO recommendations, putting corrective measures as and when necessary but preferably a preventative approach.
- Analysing data trends, including any correlation between treatment types and patient outcomes, to develop a better understanding of overall facility efficiency and recommend mitigating measures or progression with new good practice.
- Identify staffing needs within clinical specialities so that recommendations and recruitments/collaboration can be established to bridge any gaps and also releasing staff for efficiencies or avoid redundancy.
- Training all existing employees in any new policies, procedures, or standards to be implemented across the entire hospital to ensure the whole team is aligned and focused and additionally do routine performance reviews.
- Ensure the inventory process has been executed, and all stock, supplies and equipment are tracked until delivery from IMGP and also overseeing the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of clinic equipment.
- Analyze the daily, weekly and monthly trends of patient flow to assess for conversion within the hospital at all departments ie OPD, IPD, OT etc. Equally identifying working collaborations with nearby facilities to enhance the hospital’s bed occupancy and theatre operations through the most commendable working relationships.
- Ensuring that a monthly report of the hospital on all health data parameters is prepared at the end of every month in collaboration with all different departments and submitting this through the Clinical Directorate for use at different management levels to take decision
Requirements
- Must bachelor’s degree in medicine (MBChB)
- Master’s in public health is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive clinical experience.
- At least 2years in a senior clinical or supervisory role
