Job Summary
The Supply Chain Officer – Data Analytics & Operations is responsible for supporting supply chain activities through data analysis, reporting, master data management, forecasting, contract monitoring, and operational process improvements. The role ensures data accuracy, provides actionable insights for decision-making, monitors supplier performance and pricing changes, and supports the successful implementation of supply chain initiatives and systems across the organization.
Job Details
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute regular operational and management reports.
- Create dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) reports to support business decision-making.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management.
Master Data Management
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of supply chain master data, including suppliers, products, pricing, and inventory information.
- Perform regular data audits and validations to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to update and maintain data records.
Forecasting & Consumption Analysis
- Monitor forecasted consumption against actual consumption and identify variances.
- Analyze demand patterns and provide recommendations to improve forecast accuracy.
- Support inventory planning and replenishment activities through data-driven insights.
- Assist in developing demand planning models and forecasting methodologies.
Price Monitoring & Cost Analysis
- Monitor supplier pricing changes and assess the impact on procurement budgets and operational costs.
- Maintain pricing databases and update systems with approved price changes.
- Conduct cost analysis and support cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
Supplier Contract Monitoring
- Maintain a centralized repository of supplier contracts and key commercial terms.
- Monitor contract expiry dates, pricing agreements, service levels, and compliance requirements.
- Generate reports on supplier contract performance and renewal timelines.
- Support supplier performance reviews and contract administration activities.
Supply Chain Projects & Process Improvement
- Spearhead the rollout and ongoing management of the organization's "roll file" process and related supply chain initiatives.
- Support implementation of new supply chain systems, tools, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
- Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Operational Supply Chain Support
- Support procurement, inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations as required.
- Assist in resolving supply chain issues related to stock availability, supplier performance, and data discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of supply chain activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or data analysis roles
- Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain software.
- Experience in reporting, forecasting, and supplier management is preferred.
